2010 Ski-Doo 800 E-Tec… 200 miles…15 Jan Posted by: Hiawatha in: Blog News, General, Snowmobiling, Trail Reports, Wisconsin/Upper Michigan I received a call yesterday morning to take out the guys from Ski-Doo to break in the new 800 E-Tec demo fleet, so I grabbed my gear and headed over to Trackside to rack up about 200 mile on them. WOW… I was totally impressed with the sled and the new motor. The BRP boys were a blast to hang out with on our ride. We encountered just about every trail condition you can have from crap to pristine… with most being really decent. Big thanks to the boys from BRP and to Trackside for letting me ride yesterday. If you get a chance to demo one of the new 800 E-Tecs do it.. you won’t be disappointed. Heres a short video and pics of yesterdays trails.. 6 Responses to “2010 Ski-Doo 800 E-Tec… 200 miles…”Leave a Reply |

Test drove a 2010 800 e-tec this past March and with NO hesitation whatsoever bought it. I bought a2009 TNT 600 etec last Oct. and was totally thrilled with it, gas mileage and oil consumpion was totally amazing.Ride and handling amazing. I put 2300 kms on it and with the handling and suspension did not have a sore muscle anywhere. SKIDOO has did it again. I cannot understand why anyone that has ridden one of these sleds would even consider buying anything else. ( Ignorant loyalty maybe) My 2 cents worth…Bob

I haven’t driven one yet but I ordered an XRS with a 1.5″ track exchange. I had a 600 Etech XRS last year for 4000 miles and loved it. Lots of sore muscles every time I rode it. I’m beat after 200 miles hanging off the bars. Love the way it feels balanced in the air.

Just like to point out the reason someone would not buy a ski-doo is that the polaris 800 rush will slaughter in the bottom end. There is no way anything will be able to keep up with the transfer that the rush suspension gives and still be able to trail ride.

Are you on crack? I’ve had the pleasure of riding a 800 rush back to back with the e-tec 800 (and an F8 too!) and the e-tec walks all over the Rush from bottom to top, and whipped the F8 too.
Repeated lake drag races proved this over and over.
I like different things about each machine, but you clearly are nuts if you think the rush will “slaughter” the e-tec.
